Taking a Skin Care Break.
What? Who would take a skin care break? That would be me. Well, sort of.
Once in a while, my skin starts acting up. It becomes itchy and tight. I know it is part of my job to test out all of the products I highlight here on Beautiful Makeup Search, and I am bound to get irritations. I have not pinned down exactly what I have been using the last few days to make me be so dry and itchy, and really I could simply be using too many powerful products at the same time.
So, what is a girl to do? I am taking a skin care break. Not for long, I am just taking a few days off of trying new skin care products and only use what I know what works. It is what I normally do when this happens.
I have two go to products that I use when I take a skin care break.
Philosophy Purity Made Simple CleanserThis is my go to everyday cleanser that I use when I am not testing other cleansing products. It has never irritated my skin, nor left it dry or itchy at all. It removes every bit of dirt and oil from my skin while leaving it feeling smooth, soft and most importantly clean and calm.
Clinique Comfort on CallThis super thick cream was actually formulated by CLinique for reactive skin types. I have read that many people who undergo peels and other facial procedures use this to calm their skin. I use it many a nights, especially in the winter and drier months. It is also my go to cream for my intermittent skin care breaks.
I am hoping to resume normal testing of skin care on Tuesday, after taking a short three days off. This is usually the amount of time my skin requires to get back to "normal", or its normal state anyway.

I needed this for some shots recently with a large needle. I barely felt the 5″ needle after using this. I put it on, heavily, twice, starting 2 hours before and covering the area with plastic wrap and tape…..then reapplying an hour before, heavily again. It is worth it just for peace of mind if you hate needles.
5 Stars Great for insulin shots and pumps
My 9 yr old son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes last year. He hated needles and with 4 shots a day, every one was an ordeal that broke my heart. I discovered 4% lidocaine cream. We first bought another brand that cost twice as much and actually didn’t work as well as this one. He dabs some on a small square of plastic we cut from a baggie and adhere with paper tape. He wears it for about 30-45 minutes before giving his shot. We usually just put it on before eating and he was ready for his shot after his meal. With the LIDO, he started giving himself his own shots. That is how well this numbed.
He is now on the Omnipod Insulin pump, so 4 shots a day is a thing of the past, but we still use the LIDO every 3 days when he changes his pod. LIDO 4% has really made diabetes treatment bearable for our son.

I also said I loved Dior. She said, OK, well, Ill take you to the Chanel and Dior shows and well meet with Karl and John [Galliano] afterwards. So I went to dinner with Karl Lagerfeld and we got to spend a lot of priceless time together. Oh my gosh, riding around in Karl Lagerfelds Rolls-Royce with the top down. Insane!
It was like a fairy tale, she gushes. Afterwards we went to dinner and were climbing back inside his Rolls-Royce and someone said to me, See, youre so lucky, you get to see the real Paris with the real Parisians. And I said, What part of this do you think is the real Paris and the real Parisians! This is fairy-tale Paris. Its not everyday life. I mean, I know Ill go back but it wont be the same.
